Life Expectancy Of A Flowerhorn

I just wanted to ask anyone if they know the average life expectancy of a flowerhorn. Does anyone have flowerhorns they have kept for a while now? showoff.gif

sa and ca cichlids have lived up to 15 years, but from what I have read 7-9 years is tops for a fh. Average would be lower I would guess.

from what i heard .... because we power feed them and whatnot ... they tend to only last a few years ... i have one now that is going on three ...

zz were bred for fast growth and usually show potential at 3"
While GM and kamfas grow slower and show potential at 6"

i saw a 4 yr old fh.

mine was only almost 3 years old.

just take good care of your fh and lets see how old would it last.
