ok,I think my srt is a female the spots on the dorsal have never faded and the tube was sticking out yesterday,it is deffenitly different from my three other males that I know are males but they are differant stains,can anyone advise me what to look for in a female srt. see the base of the tube is deffinetly fater then any male fish I own but the tip still looks kinda pointy and points forward just a hair. also my kk female that has laid eggs but is also more muture,her tube is fat and blunt all the way it dosnt get the lil point, like the srt,mI try to get some pics tonight,and also if any one has clear pics of the tubes on male and female srt please post.

uh, yea I think I got me a female,maybe this x plains y it wouldnt pair up with my kk female just kicked her all over the tank not 100% sure but I think so Iv sucsessfully sexed many fish Idont know y im even asking because it is really diiferant than all my males,thanks buddy you have really helped,I'll get a few pics 2 night just for good measure.

You can actually tell by the scent and taste of the FH dropping if its male or female! 'lol' 'lol' 'lol'

i had the same problem with my fish. by looking at your fish i think its a female
