I spoiled my first FH, a RD/ZZ, he only ate frozen blood worm or market shrimp and refused to eat NLS pellets. I starved his butt 2 days straight then feed him NLS pellets and he ate everything I put in water.

They will be fine without food for a few days. I would offer a small amount of NLS every day, and if they don't eat it take it out so it doesn't foul the water. Eventually they will get hungry enough to eat it. Plus if you just got them they may still be adjusting to their new environment.

My guy doesn't really like the Cichlid Gold pellets by Hikari, chews on them for a minute then spits them out. However he loves bloodworms, spirulina, and these cichlid sticks by TetraCichlid that seem to be real messy during feeding...

Make sure your pellets arent too big. Big ones are hard for the fish to eat and make a mess in the water because alot ends up on the bottom of the tank, from what Ive seen thats the best way to get your water fouled and your fish sick.

Yeah, I've only the fed the sticks a handful of times, I try to stay away from them just because of the mess.
