How do you think a Fluval 304 with hoses AND a Fluval 403 with no hoses (both are USED and have no media) worth???
osborne
to me nothing, fluvall is a pain in the neck except the new fx5,but all the 04 models clog, propellers stick and are hard to prime

its not that hard to prime it, if you know how to do it the right wayy. NO MEDIA=NO $. its worthless if theres no media.

why dont you use it? i like my fluval as of right now. my waters are crystal clear

I use 2 fluval 404's and they're good. I dunno what other people experienced, but these are great if you pack it up with the medias. I let it ran for months without any cleaning. Use it and decide for urself.

I'm running a 204 right now and it's giver me no problems. It helps if you put some sort of sponge prefilter over the intake. I do this for all my filters including my HOT filters and it does a good job of keeping the filters clean and powerful.
