well i did not want to dig up an ancient thread, so i started a new thread.

these are my red texas fry, they are about 2+", and not sure how they are doing. some have pearls, some don't. some are dark, some are not. they are growing in a 100g 6 foot tank. with 2 40% water changes a week, eating nls, brine shrimp, blood worms, freeze dried mini krill. i have not lost a fry in a month or so, so i got that bug problem worked out. upped the temp, and added salt.

the mother of these guys was a little orange parrot. they are kind of a trial/learning batch. i have a batch growing out from a much nicer parrot, not sure if she is a kkp, but she is as good as it gets in illinois.

here is the whole tank with fry

Wow, thats a lot of fry you have. Did you seperate out any that were exceptional? It is said that SRTs are simple Green Texas x red Blood parrots but these look more like inbetween hybrid Kamfa type fish. I wonder if they will look more like SRTs when they fade? Good luck with the batch and don't forget to update us when they start fading doit.gif pimp.gif drool.gif

I think you should start puling out the nice ones at the 3-4" range and leaving those in the 100g and you should setup a another tank for the rest to grow out cause sometimes the culls can surprise you they looks like srt to me real nice where you located and are you selling any

Nice batch of frys bro. Too bad I got rid of mostly all mine. Would love to see them grow out, but ran out of space. Only kept a couple. GL to you.
