I see where you are coming from , Bilbo, and it's fine!

I guess most people on this forum and maybe in the US, have only been exposed to a few ZZ strains. Because of flowerfish.com's savvy marketing, they've reached the most people out of S.E.A. and on the Internet. So when many see a ZZ with red, they automatically think it is a "Red Dragon."
If I am correct, I believe "Lucky Stars" and "Fire Dragons" were around before "RD's." They came from a farm that's been around for over 30 years and were one of the first to breed FH's.
Flowerfish.com has a lot of quality FH's, but they are not the only ones. I'll have to give them a lot of credit for their great marketing.

It is also great that they are still strong in breeding FH's while many others have slowed down or stopped. That says a lot about Alvin and his strong business mind.
If FH's were now as popular as it was three years ago in S.E.A., we would have so many more strains to chose from! (Hundreds) ...But due to the greed of sellers (poor quality FH's) and the ignorance of hobbyist, the popularity died. It is sad, but we've lost many excellent strains because of this. There were some strains that I could no longer find on my last trip.
The good news is that I am now seeing the popularity grow in the U.S., Philpines, China, etc, etc. With this new boom in FH interest, we can hopefully recover some of the beautiful strains and also produce even higher quality FH's in the future.
The key to keeping the FH hobby strong is to spread the knowledge. ...You can't appreciate something that you don't know about. This will be the only way our hobby will truly grow in a healthy, rewarding course.
I give a lot of credit to breeders that have the passion to create and improve the quality of FH's. ...And if they prosper from it, they deserve it!

A beautiful FH is awesome no matter who it is from.
