on july my flowerhorn will be 1 yr with me and since i took it from the previous owner it was totally black, now some of its colors are showing up but then i didnt see anymore fading, so what kinds of foods help them in fading???? and do they eat less while on the process???


im planning on buying humpyhead, for the head and some brine shrimps smile.gif

I'm not sure whether there are feeds that induce faster fading, I've never heard of such a thing yet.

There is no such thing as a food that helps a FH fade. Its a natural process as long as they have that particular gene.

I personally think that OSI blood red parrot pellet helps the fading process.

I have used it with great success on parrots thumbsup.gif

Some pictures will help identify whether you have a fader or not. You may simply have a stressed out female or a sick fish.

A good diet and excellent water conditions are good for any fish but there is no food that aids the fading process, that is genetically passed from the parents.
