Finally, Lil Miss found a male worthy of her attentions!
I think they are going to make gorgeous offspring if it all works out! I gotta take out the pleco cuz Murple is damaging himself fighting with him. And the pleco keeps going after the eggs.

the pleco is out of there, and they look more relaxed. While I'm excited about this, I'm not going to expect too much knowing this is their first spawn. We'll just see what happens

ok good news:
she's a GREAT mother..and Murple is trying to help too but she wont let him, she keeps telling him to do his job and stand guard. LOL
more good news: not many eggs are white...like maybe 4-5. the rest look alive and are showing the little black dots.

That's awesome!!!
If you truly see the black dot (eyes) on the eggs then they were both successful. I would now just keep a close eye on the eggs to make sure they don't get eaten by either parent or get sucked up by the filter.

I'm in awe myself! I never had a problem with my fish spawning...as a matter of fact it gets irritating sometimes lol. However, this is my most exciting spawn I ever had, so I'm definitely a happy little camper right now.

Hey bud, glad you're back. I'm really sorry about your TC...
I'm envious too. I've never had a successful spawn yet, too. I'm looking for a good female though, and I'm planning to try as soon as I found one.

If you had wrigglers already then you can take the parents out to ensure the survival of the fry.

This batch is gone. From what i sa there were only about 20 wrigglers.
It was a very small spawn. Hopefully next time we will be more successful

Ahh man, that sucks... maybe they are just hiding somewhere?! (wishful thinking) lol
What I like to do is either move the parents out or move the eggs to another tank once they are fertilized, I've been successful only once though. My male was gay
But I have a new male now and a bunch of females lined up for him!

i usually just let nature take its course. it was their first time. I've had many other first timers get rid of their first batch. I'm gonna let them learn on their own, but if they never do, then I will take matters into my own hands.
They're flirting again so again I'm not overly concerned.
You guys will get your fry LOL
