I think I'll give them till the end of this month, if nothing happens then I'll throw a different female in there.

Woke up Sunday and looked at the plate around 10am, no eggs but her tube dropped.

As I was watching Nascar (around 11:30) she started laying. She continued to lay for about an hour.

I had family come over for my dads birthday. Left the fish alone for a while to make sure the male did his thing.

Transferred the plate to a 10gl around 6 or 7pm.

Took several pictures, will post them once I get home from work!

My sister took all these yesterday as I moved the eggs to a 10gl. Microwave is turned off and just being used as a stand. Yes, the tortilla holder is funny but it was a perfect size for my plate of eggs.

100% of the water is from the same tank and temperature is exactly the same.

Really, just 20? She got really fat, been feeding both of them Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold and a lot of market shrimp. I also think she is a regular BP but still uncertain lol

More good news!!!

Some of the eggs started hatching yesterday afternoon!

I checked on them this morning before work again and I could see around 10 wrigglers already!!!

Very cool bro.Now if only mine will do this .Very happy for you and looking foward to pictures and video's in the future

yep really just 20 but nvr i have switch my kkp with mine koky fire face golden fader female to my male as she is about to lay egg her tube was so big when she was on her own so i switched her to my male

They are so small and swim so much that it's hard to get a good count. I stop counting after 20 so I'm guessing there's about 30 fry. I removed the plate of unhatched eggs to get a better view.

I will try and get some pics today after work.
