Can some1 id this fish for me? It has a golden face. The guy told me it's a golden monkey. At first he was asking for $150, I knocked it down to $100. I think $100 is a fair price for this fish. Is it or not? Thanks.

There's much more to a GM than just the coloration and in my opinion GM traits rely heavily on face and body shape, pearling, fins and flowerline.

In my opinion this is not a GM. The price of flowerhorn vary depending on location and availability.

I'm from NJ. The seller is a friend of mine. He claimed this fish was over $300 when he got it. Now he's selling for $150 but he agreed to let it go for $100.

I do believe him when he said he bought it for more than 300. Your getting a deal off that. Nice looking fish. Looks more like ZZXmalua which has GM blood line mixed with some ZZ. You can call it what ever you want as long as you like it. This fish shows a lot of quality traits already tall upper body structure, pearls on its face, koky, short snot which is usually a trait of a GM, but no GM coloration thumbsup.gif

That's what I wana hear:). Thank you Djrice. I'll pick him up on Friday. I'm gonna try to put him with my red lion. We'll see if this is going to work or not. The worst case I'll put him in another tank, 44 hex gallons.

Really? How so? Lets be honest about the photo here.

The fish head is deflated, body looks very tense and stressed. The back body looks bent, not sure if it is. If is brought back to prime condition, it can be a good FH, but in its current condition is almost like a throw away fish. $100 bucks is ok for his size, but you can buy better quality fish for $100 if you look around for deals.
