My zz is more than 3 years, and I have the feeling that sometimes he is getting more and more tired, he is healthy but getting old. How long can he live?

They do live a lot longer than that. The average 3 is due to frequent exchange in ownership causing the short lifespan. In theory, they can live 10+ years. The oldest I seen is about 8.
