I don't know if this will work or not so that's why I'm asking.
I've never bred FH's before but I have a ~8in Female ZZ and I was wondering if you guys think I would be able to breed her with a Platinum (blue) male.
I have not acquired the male yet and that is why I am asking first, If I do end up getting him how big should he be before I put them in a tank together? It will most likely be a 75G and I will obviously put in a divider first.
So all things considered, does this seem like a reasonable goal and if so what extra precautions should i take?
Can't wait to hear some feedback,
Thanks

male has to be a bit bigger then the female I would have to say at least double the size of the female. I never tried these Platinum blue aka Thai Silks. I'd get a big male first then female later. FYI I have not seen a big male around here in the USA. Good luck finding one.

I agree with David.
Make sure the male is at least 2 times bigger than the female. The bigger the male is the better.

your female is huge! that thai blue silk better be 14 inch or bigger if you could get any bigger than that... anything smaller thatn your female will just get killed!

I agree that it is better to have a bigger male, I have had females just a little smaller then the male and beat up the my male pretty bad.
