Can someone explain the process of how to fix a silicone tank leak. It is a 44 gall corner tank and need some help to fix it.

empty and dry tank. use a razor to cut out damaged silicone. use aquarium silicone to replace where you cut out the damage part. stand the tank on end so gravity wont effect your work. then use your finger to smooth out the bead of silicone. if you make a mess no worries cause after it dries you can use a razor again to scrape off the excess. let dry for at least 48 hrs before refilling. hope this helps and good luck

can i use 100% silicon or would i have to buy specific aquarium silicone

i would use aquarium silicone. would not know if it is the same but i would not chance infecting my fish.

GE 100% silicon and the gun for it make sure it is for windows and WITHOUT mildew guard
