I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FLOWERHORNS HELP?

i have no clue how the female got pregnant. heck i didn't even know she was a girl! she doesn't eat much and i think she got pregnant by that time where she KNOCKED down the divider and was with the big one guessing the guy who got her pregnant? but they were fighting and i put them back in dividers.

okay. so i came home from school today and discovered there were eggs in the tank at the bottom and my flowerhorn also had something sticking out of her stomache prob another egg ? I don't know what to do! so my mom was afraid the fish will eat the eggs and removed her and put her in the second tank? D: but then i read you shouldn't and then we put her back? but then she started eating the eggs! D: I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! HELP! and i also heard we're suppose to put the male with the eggs to fertilize but like he's aggressive and he might eat the eggs and also the two of them fight! >_< HELP? right now I just put the female back into the 2nd tank @_@

I would put the female back and let het do whatever she want, flowerhorn lay eggs like every two weeks so don't worry. how old is your flowerhorn? you shouldn't breed your flowerhorn until they are at least 1 year old.
I have two flowerhorns too and female will lay eggs and they will fight too. what I did was keep the divider in the tank. and just wait...

should i take the divider off so the male and female can be together? cuz i saw something about having the male there to fertilize the egg... >_<
yep i am pretty sure she's older than 1 year old.

Hello and welcome to FHUSA.

The good thing about female flowerhorns is that they can lay every 3-5 weeks so you'll definitely have many more chances to try again.

you only put them together if they are not fighting. if you take the divider off now, one of the flowerhorn is going to get hurt, and i wouldn't do that. your going to have many chances, so just wait until next time.

I would put the female back with her eggs and let her do what ever she is going to do. after 4 to 5 days. try to put the male and female back together. so they can bond better. thats the only way you'r going to get them to breed. G/L

my thoughts: the eggs prob arent even fertilized. wait a few days and if the eggs dont hatch, just toss them
