So I've had this red dragon flowerhorn that i always thought was a male hard kok flowerhorn. But then i realized side-view, the vent protrusion looks like a male's (narrow v-shaped). but when he/she is facing you, and you look at the vent from a front-side view, it's much broader than my other male fh's vents (i'm talking atleast 2-3 times more broad).

Is it a female or male?
it'll be impossible to get pics up here since its such an active fish.

without pics i would be guessing and you seem to have good basic knowledge about fh's. so if its that wide my guess will be female but need pic to be sure. have someone take the pic while you hold her.
