yea i used the pitcher to acclimate him for the tank so when the pitcher was full i dropped it into the tank and was going to let him come out ON his own.......lol he stayed in there for bout 45 min before venturing out into the tank. I got his pic's while he was in the pitcher hangin out! lol thanks guys for the comments.....I'M DIGGING HIM

its not a bonsai its a short body kamalau flowerhorn. I have a bonsai kilin fish body of the 2 is totally differant

here is the bonsai or as some would call it a kilin or kilrin fish! The face almost seems to be paralized the mouth doesnt move open or close. This is not the same as my short body it doesnt have these features but this is a pic of my bonsai/kilin/kilrin/flowerhorn hybrid lol

actually I'd like to correct you a bonsai is a short body flowerhorn and a killin or kirin is like a parrot with a flowerhorn pattern. What you have is a bonsai aka as a short body flowerhorn which is the fish in the jar.

once again i stand corrected im a #$% lol. Thanks rice for clarifying for me i always appreciate being told if i'm wrong so i dont continue so sound like a %^& lol! I was told by store owner that the short body also get kok so is this also true? And to all that read my post about bonsai and kilin i apologize for being wrong i must of been mis informed before and am greatfull for great friends like rice that keep it real for me! so yea any comments on my new lil friend wether he gets the kok be cause i'd hate to be mis informed again!

theory says that bonsai flowerhorn will grow heads. I have witness a few. Your has potential for kok growth. Just continue feeding him good food and keep up with your water changes.

34 bucks at aqua workz in sacramento! He also has some sky blue short body with kok already they are bout 5 inch but he's selling those for 500 and he has some king kamfa sky blue also for 700 prices on those seemed a little high but idk. I saw this little guy a loved him right off he has great personality and the only one with lil kok out of the other he had same size and strain! he had rd in there and some others for sale also.

also ive heard that the real dark black spots in top fin are a good indicator of female! My kilrin has a good example of that you can see it in her pic above. Does this marking happen sometimes on a male also? Reason im asking is because my new short body has dark marking like that also in top fin just not as prominant. I know its too young to get a for sure sex out of him but is this a sign that it may be a female? just curious!

Went and check this place out last week...all this time, I didn't even know that they exist. The price for some fhs are way too high and the quality is not even that good. I love that little short body (bonsai) kamfa with white eyes. Again...the price is too high.

$34 for the short body is a great deal I think...but they are so tiny. They (lfs) will never sell those high price fhs...if they don't drop down the price, the fish just going to stay there and then die or become uglier. This is usually what happens to LFS's that are not experience with fhs. They think they can make a whole lot of money by selling it high price...NOT!

BTW...you should check out Capitol Aquarium, Exotic Aquarium, and JoJo's (at corner of 47th St and Stockton Blvd). Most of the time they carry some nice fhs for decent price.

hay guys thanks for the comments......i'm partial my BONSAI lol! I love him, my man say's no no no he wants be to give him a boot....i think not....I LOVE HIM! As far as jojo's off stockton i just took my first trip there today.....awsome fh's they were cool ranging from 125 to 140 i found one there i'd love to take home actually and if i didnt have to put 4 new tires spark plugs and wires on my car i would of bought him! ahh its always something. But yes best looking for best price that i have seen for this area
