hi everyone!!! im carlo 21 from philippines love flowerhorns because of their color and shape and their head(kok) i have 3 flowerhorns 2 are in my 50gal tank with a divider so that theyre apart and wont kill each other one is outside in my 20gal tank i bought two of em one of them i got from a friend who breeds flowerhorn.current set up of my tank is crushed corals,volcanic rocks overhead filter with ceramic rings and activated carbon water change every 3days 15-20 percent their diet is humphead and superworm every once in a while.i need tips for their grooming and diet.another thing are my flowerhorns male? i want the two hopefully male coz i want them to have a kok. i bought them when they were still frys i want to see them develop the risk here they might be female i hope not.thanks a lot!!!!^^ biggrin.gif

ps.pls suggest ant good set up on my 50 gal tank like rocks etc on what to put in it or replace thanks!!!

crush coral should help raise ph, lava rock is a good source for bacteria to grow in your filter. Raising the temperature and feeding high protein food anything above 45% for frys and for adults any food that contains proteins less then 46%. Biweekly water changes of 25% is enough. Active carbon should be replaced every 2-3 weeks because it gets used up.

Your flowerhorn looks like a male it doesn't have a black marking on the dorsal fin
