i dont kno many that breed goldfish..many people say its nearly impossoble and others dotn even bother to try..well...I BREED GOLDFISH smile.gif ...i do itonce in a while..raely at the most....been to busy..the way i breed goldfish might be a lil/or a lot different from otehrs..but all i do is get one male and about a couple females...or maybe even 2 males..usually ii just use one...i dont have any pics to show the differences from males and females since i dont have a camera on hand and my goldfish are now at my sisters place.... tongue.gif ..she takes ccare of them smile.gif ...but yeah when you have them in a take all you gonna do is keep the water clean, and healty and feed them fish on good foods....and for a tank set up i would give the goldfish about 10 gallons per fish..and also everytime i did breed i had live plants in the tank, which might help out on the the breeding process which im nto really sure about..all i see is them swimming throught he plants and rubbing against it.. smile.gif its easier for me to explain in person and with also examples....this doesnt really help much but hope it does a lil thumbsup.gif

the usually breed in the rainy season.. and if you have like a pond wiht a lot of plant life for the hiding places.. that would be optimal. they usually dont bred in the fish tanks

It should be pretty easy if you have mature goldfish and lots of them. I bred my Chinese lionhead, Ranchus, Ryukins and a few other types in both tanks and kiddy pools that you can get at target/walmart. If using fancy goldfish, try to get a group of about 6-8 individuals that are at least 4 inches long and condition them for about a week or two with some nutritious food such as live brine shrimp. Once they are conditioned, simply place them all into your tank or pool with lots of plants and you should see them scattering eggs everywhere. You can also hand spawn them but I'll let an expert explain that. The males will usually grow white pimples or tubercles on their face and head. Good luck with your breeding doit.gif
